ABOUT

​Born and raised in New England, Jocelyn Oldham has now spent over half her life in Virginia. She performs full-time as a solo artist throughout Richmond, Hampton Roads, and beyond, providing live music for all types of occasions. With a warm, captivating voice, Jocelyn performs popular cover songs on both guitar and ukulele, spanning multiple genres and appealing to audiences of all ages. Her repertoire ranges from Patsy Cline and The Beatles to Alanis Morrisette and Taylor Swift. With an extensive and diverse song list, Jocelyn is sure to please crowds both young and old. Whether taking center stage or providing the perfect background ambiance, her passion for music shines through in every performance.

Jocelyn’s musical journey in Virginia began in 1995 when she moved south to attend Virginia Tech, where she earned a BA in Music Education. After graduating, she briefly taught music at her old middle school in NH, then returned to Virginia to perform at the former Music Theatre of Williamsburg (now Crosswalk Church). In 2004, Jocelyn became licensed to teach Music Together, an early childhood music program, and successfully operated her own center in Williamsburg for nine years. She has performed with several Hampton Roads bands, including The Rhythm Kings and Me & JO, but ultimately found her greatest joy as a solo performer. After spending 12 years in Williamsburg, Jocelyn relocated to Richmond in 2013, where she married the love of her life, Karl von Klein, who teaches band at Collegiate School in Richmond.

Occasionally, Jocelyn also plays with Jordan Ponzi on upright bass and Lance Pedigo on the drums. Together they become the Jocelyn Oldham band, AKA “the JOB”.

Jocelyn is available to entertain guests in a wide variety of venues. Performance length and stage setup are always flexible to best complement each event.

Jocelyn uses a state-of-the-art Bose L1 sound system, capable of delivering smooth, crystal-clear sound with outstanding, even coverage for audiences of any size. Designed to project sound evenly across the space, this system ensures every listener enjoys a consistent and detailed audio experience. For larger events or multi-location setups, Jocelyn has access to two full Bose L1 systems.
